Western Cape looking to boost tourism
Tuesday 13 May 2008
The Western Cape in South Africa is preparing to promote itself as the tourist destination of choice.
According to All Africa, the region plans to heavily promote itself to tourists at this year's Tourism Imbada in Durban.
It is good news for anyone with an investment property in South Africa and particularly the Western Cape.
Western Cape MEC for finance and tourism Lynne Brown said that the 2010 Fifa World Cup will focus the attention of the world on the region.
"We are making full use of the opportunity and platform provided by the Tourism Indaba to let the world know that the Western Cape is the ideal 365 [days a year] destination and that Cape Town is indeed the place to be, pre-, during and post 2010 Fifa World Cup," she commented.
Many people choose to buy an investment property in South Africa because it is beautiful and has an incredible history.
It is also the only country in the world with three capital cities; Cape Town (legislative capital), Pretoria (administrative capital) and Bloemfontein (judicial capital).
