Portuguese property market pulls in famous faces

The Algarve is a popular destination for investors that want to enjoy a holiday home and former England defender Gareth Southgate is now one of the more famous residents.
Middlesbrough FC manager, Southgate, spoke to Portuguese publication, the Resident, about his decision to purchase a home there.
Southgate said: "I have been coming to the Algarve for about 15 years now, first with team mates for golfing holidays and then with my family. My wife loved it here so much she extended an original three week holiday for a further two weeks. It was then we decided we would buy a property here."
For the footballer the Algarve is the "perfect destination for both business and pleasure". He played in Portugal at both club and international level before becoming a manager and Middlesbrough has also had games in the region.
He explained: "We were over here a couple of years ago and played against Sporting Lisbon in Portimao."
Many tourists and football fans enjoy visiting the Algarve Stadium and Southgate has some great memories of being there himself. "The surface at the stadium is great, it is a wonderful place to play and watch football," he said.
