Most expensive Aspen property being sold in separate pieces

A property located in Aspen, Colorado is being sold off in three pieces after being on the market for almost 12 months.
The 'Aspen Legacy' property covers 15,000 square feet and is valued at $39 million (£20 million). This is the most expensive property in Aspen.
However, it is now on offer as three separate properties, including the former Huntsman Gallery, and is collectively priced at $41.5 million (£21.3 million), the Aspen Times reported.
A buyer did put in an offer last August but unfortunately the deal fell through.
The reason behind the separation of the Aspen Legacy into three smaller properties is to attract a larger variety of buyers.
Listing agent Mark Wyman said that smaller-sized properties are currently more popular in Aspen than larger ones.
He told the paper: "The community continues to express their desire for smaller buildings and development and keeping the character of the area. In our present environment there is probably greater appetite for investment on smaller development and more bite sized."
