Google Trends shows Egypt is popular investment destination
Tuesday 24 June 2008
Google Trends provides a wealth of data on customer's activity and has now been refined to be able to track patterns in search behaviour and can reveal which areas are popular for property investment.
Whilst popular investment destinations such as Spain, Portugal and Italy have shown a slight decline in searches over the previous 12 months, emerging markets have bucked the trend.
According to Google Trends "emerging overseas property destinations like Dubai and Egypt seem to be bucking the above trend, probably because buyer demographics vary significantly to those of more traditional holiday home buyers".
Egypt is becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination which will in turn create demand for property in the region.
FTnnews.com reported recently that interest from tour operators in North Africa are increasing as a strong Euro is making a lot of European destinations unaffordable.
Famous for its ancient civilization and some of the world's most famous monuments including the Giza pyramid complex and its Great Sphinx, Egypt is an important cultural centre of the Middle East.
