Caribbean investment interest grows

Tuesday 13 May 2008

The Caribbean is drawing interest from plenty of investors, according to the director general of the Caribbean Hotel Association (CHA).

Alec Sanguinetti said that the slowing American economy does not appear to be affecting interest in the Caribbean.

Many people are interested in buying investment properties in the Caribbean and the words of Mr Sanguinetti, which followed the 12th Annual Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference, will have boosted investor confidence further.

"The recent downturn in the US economy is not impacting the interest in the Caribbean," he said.

"As a matter of fact, our Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference drew a record-breaking 522 delegates, up from 404 a year ago.

"This is a clear indication that there is strong interest in the Caribbean from the investment community that is looking at the future," added Mr Sanguinetti.

Investment properties in the Caribbean have been selling well for years, with buyers attracted to the stunning natural beauty which is on offer on all of the islands.ADNFCR-1590-ID-18591515-ADNFCR
