Morocco's national carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), has signed a strategic ten-year distribution agreement with technology provider Amadeus to improve the service it offers to its passengers.
RAM is one of 12 airlines to have chosen to adopt distribution tools from the company, which now manages 68 per cent of reservations made by travel agents in the region.
It is hoped that improved service will allow for future RAM expansion, something that will boost the country's tourism and travel sector and subsequently increase demand for rental holiday accommodation.
Julia Sattel, vice president of Amadeus, said: "Our infrastructure? and our continued investment ensures we can deliver best on-the-ground support, to enable further growth for RAM and bring the best service, content and the very latest technology to the region's travel agent community."
Recently, Manchester United and England footballer Rio Ferdinand invested in the Moroccan property market, purchasing seven houses at a beach complex in Sadia.
"It's not as well known here. It's got greater investment potential and I'm getting in early," he said. |
