Consumers that are considering investing in property in Spain may be interested to hear that the holiday market is 'performing extremely well'.
That is according to the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA), who has said that Spain is "holding up very well".
Frances Tuke, a spokesperson for ABTA, said: "The industry is performing extremely well all over really, but it’s performing particularly well to mid-haul destinations."
She continued: "I think people were concerned that the eurozone areas would be affected, particularly with the fluctuations in currency, but that doesn't seem to have happened."
A strong tourist industry is great news for those renting out holiday homes or considering investing in property and Spain is a perfect example of a popular destination that is attracting holidaymakers.
New routes to the country are being opened all the time. Spanish low-cost carrier Clickair has just launched a new service from London Gatwick Airport to Vigo in northern Spain.
It will be the first time that there has been a direct air-link between the British capital and Spain's Pontevedra province in south Galicia. |
