The Spanish island of Ibiza remains an excellent investment opportunity according to an article in The Independent, which reveals that its peaceful beaches and beautiful countryside are helping to draw in tourists and investors alike.
Writing for the newspaper, Laura Latham, explained that new, all-year flight services between Ibiza and the UK have served to increase the island's popularity further, providing owners with unrestricted access to their overseas homes.
She noted that Ibiza remains popular with young clubbers, while also preserving its historic streets and traditional villages, away from the bustle of the main tourist hubs.
Charlotte Williams, of real estate firm Aylesford International, told the newspaper: "In the 1980s and '90s the island was seen as a hedonistic resort, but now it's regarded as the centre of sophisticated bohemianism.
"I'm sure winter flights will bring a fresh surge of buyers to this chic retreat."
Ibiza remains popular with celebrities as well. In the last several weeks, Kate Moss, Sylvester Stallone, Rhys Ifans and Vernon Kaye have all holidayed at the island's exclusive retreats.
Last month, the Property Investor Show recommended that investors thinking of entering the Spanish market consider the south-east of the country. |
