Spanish government plans to improve flights into the country by allowing commercial carriers to fly along military routes could rejuvenate the country's property market, it has been reported.
According to news service Overseas Property Professional, the proposals would allow for a number of new airline routes into Spain to be negotiated, improving accessibility to several areas of the country for potential real estate investors.
Adam Gale, of Costa del Sol-based agent Duchy Estates, explained to the website that increasing the number of airline routes into Spain would help to convince the minds of any investors who remain unsure whether to buy in the country or not.
"This is possibly the best news we've had to help kick-start the faltering Spanish property market," he said, adding that the number of people purchasing homes in Spain could rise as long-haul flights become more expensive.
More routes into Spain could also boost the tourist industry, increasing demand for self-catered holiday home rentals.
Last month, the Property Investor Show recommended that investors thinking of entering the Spanish market consider the south-east of the country. |
